As you know when it comes to being a mommy, that doesn’t mean you neglect making yourself look beautiful. Many would say that there is not enough time for me because it all goes to taking care of the kids. You spend most of the time making them look and smell good, but what about YOU? Well, I am glad you asked!
Makeup does not mean you need to look like you have it on, it is simply to enhance your natural beauty. Always moisturize your skin before applying your makeup in the morning. To make this quick, find a good moisturizer that will also double as a lip moisturizer. Add a small amount to your fingertips, and gently apply it to your entire facial area. This will take less than 15 seconds and you will already feel better.
To save time, apply a concealer around your eyes and blend to hide any dark circles, or minimize any puffiness for a well rested look. Now a dusting of loose or pressed powder will give you a finished look. Adding a cream blush with a little sheen will add color, and brighten up your face for an all day finished look. You can save more time by using your cream blush as a natural lip color. Simply use your finger to apply to your lips, and you have completed two separate steps in less than a minute.
When applying eyeliner, start at the inner corner of your eyes. Tilt your head slightly backwards, and turn your hand so the applicator is parallel to your lid. Slightly stretch your eye from the outside corner and apply eyeliner as though you are connecting dots to create a straight line. Not only does this add color to your eye makeup, but it gives you the bright-eyed appearance you long for. Skip the bottom lashes as this can close the eye and make dark circles reappear. Apply a touch of a neutral cream eye shadow color to the lid and blend. Complete the look with a light coat of mascara and your eyes will look great!
Use a pencil on the eyebrow or a brow powder in a shade that matches your natural brow color. If using a pencil, start at the bottom of the brow and work up and out. If using a powder, lightly brush it into the brow filling in and shaping the brow with quick dashes of color.
The biggest thing to remember about quick, superb makeup is that you really do get what you pay for. It is better to pay for makeup that will last throughout the day without reapplications, then to spend the day adjusting your makeup. You are a busy mom and you have more important things to do than spend time doing your makeup.
