Mr. GQ
Any Mom with a little boy knows the woes of shopping for your kid. Everywhere you go there is a huge selection of girls clothing and an itty bitty selection of boys stuff. This can be frustrating when it comes dressing your son, especially if you’re like me and hate the planes, trains, and automobile short sets that stores tend to have a ton of! Well I can’t give you a bigger selection than the girls, but I can give you some places that carry the cutest boy pieces ever. Starting with my favorite for jeans, H & M. I get all of my son’s skinny jeans (yes, yes I know . . . little boy skinny jeans) and other styles of jeans from there. For shirts Target and Old Navy are the places to go! For shoes I have a variety of places that I shop, from Marshalls to Babies-R-Us. And Aiden always has a fresh pair of Converse in his wardrobe. If you’re tired of the planes, trains, and automobiles, try out these places to get your little boy styling this fall season!

I know the feeling about shopping for boys. My son is 6 and the stores you just named are great! Target and Old Navy are two of my favorites. I hate the planes, trains, and auto mobiles. My son is a “Little Man” and I dress him as such!

I never thought about H&M for jeans! You’re right though, I find the best selection of shirts at Target and Old Navy. (I’m sooo over Children’s Place) Do you have any suggestions for shopping online?

It’s great to have a husband who loves to shop for his son. Like little boys I am sure a man’s selection of clothing is limited too and they are use to putting outfits together. My son should be the next child model for Gap. He’s been in some sort of Gap outfit since birth. Also, don’t forget about the Kenneth Cole sets or polo shirts and outfits at great discounted prices from department stores like Macy’s. Finally remember to shop on SALE, SALE, SALE… Yes, children’s clothing can be expensive and remember hand-me-downs are great too.

Rachel, I love the way Lil Jacob dresses! I hope you’re saving clothes for me . . . just in case!

Well Chica….you’ll have to get them from Kimya. Her son Eric is in Josi’s class. Hey, but if I have another I’ll keep you in mind….LOL!

i love shopping for my mount zion. i mix dress with casual. i have never found it hard to dress any of my 3 boys. i never go with fads i always keep it classic with a touch of funky. h&m has a some great pieces, but i never find it to be as inexpensive as macy’s sale rack, nordstroms rack or marshalls. but it is easier and faster to find it lol. i rather work for the bargains lol. the lil man in the pics is just delightful. such a cutie!

For great online shopping for boys try Baby Gap, Old Navy, and J Crew (just started a children’s line and the boy stuff is really cute!!).

I never knew H&M even carried kids’ clothes! I’ve been to three of their stores here in the Bay Area (one of them being like really huge!) and I’ve never seen a stitch of kids’ stuff.
Me and my mister complain about the lack of boys clothes in department stores too but usually end up at Target, Old Navy and sometimes even good ole JCPenney in a pinch.
