Giving. It’s always in style!

Christmas is such a joyous time of year. But for those who are in need, this time of the season can serve as a huge reminder of those things that they lack. It is especially hard for those who have kids. Providing just the basics for these cold months ahead is often difficult for some, not to mention buying toys and other presents. So, how about doing some early spring cleaning and getting rid of those coats that your kids are too big for and that you never wear? And what better organization to support than One Warm Coat. This organization is nationwide so every Mommy with fashionality can participate in giving! Gather your coats and go to www.onewarmcoat.org to find a center to drop them off. What better gift to dress someone in! This piece will not only warm their bodies but also their hearts. Merry Giving! :-)

Put on Your Party Face!!!

So you have got the perfect dress in mind, now starts the primping!!!  This is your guide for flawless, pretty and party makeup!!!

Bright Red Lips

Go for an elegant pop of color. Here, tips for picking the right shade and making it last through cocktails.

1-To create a flawless canvas and prevent fading, prep your pout with a creamy primer. Press the concealer like formula into your lips to fill lines and help anchor the color.

2-Trace your natural lip line with a clear waxy pencil. A transparent one gives definition and protects against feathering without the risk of looking fake or severe.

3-Once you’ve found your perfect shade of crimson-crisp and blue-based for fair skin, orangey for olive, and burgundy for dark complections. Apply color directly from the tube, not with a lip brush. Press the color in with your fingertip.

4-Complete the look with glowing skin and two coats of black mascara!

Smokey Eyes

Intense, versatile and low-maintenance-this classic look never gets old. Follow theses simple steps to ensure your shadow looks soft but never slept in but makes a bold statement.

1-Trace the upper lid with a soft black pencil to “define the shape and add intensity to the lash line. Then gently smudge it with your fingertip to diffuse the line.

2-Using a medium sized dome brush, apply inky powder to the crease of the eye. Then blend it downward for a wash of color over the entire lid.

3-With a smaller brush that has firm bristles, press a gun metal shade into the lower lash line. Apply a silver powder to the inner corners to lighten the overall effect.

4-Pile on the mascara. Instead of heavy lip color, choose a glossy or balm-like neutral for a slightly less finished mouth.

If you are going for a smokey eye for your party then go for a neutral lip. If your party face involves red lips then go for a neutral eye. Remember to accent only one thing on your face at a time so people won’t be confused when they look at you!!!

Happy Holidays!!!

Layer it up!

I came across a great “how-to” styling guide in my Lucky magazine that I thought would be great to share with you! This guide talks about how to layer two cardigan sweaters. As the temperatures continue to drop and it gets colder, layering definitely doesn’t seem like a bad idea. Layering two cardigans is a great way to give a new look to your old clothes. A lot of times we can create great “new” outfits by simply mixing up our own pieces, perhaps in a way that we wouldn’t normally wear them. Give this idea a try!

Tip: When layering your cardigans be sure to choose sweaters that are middle-to-lightweight and form fitting for the best look.

Beauty 2010!!!!

Trendy means trendy! Fall-Winter 2009/2010 dictates its own outerwear, hair and makeup trends. Makeup is something that characterizes our nature and preferences. But if one wants to follow vogue tendencies every season, here they are!

Shining or Matte Skin

What skin to choose this season? First of all it should be mentioned that matte skin is extremely popular according to the runway F/W 2009/10.

Pay attention to matte face skin that looks predominantly as a background for the principle face distinctions – eyes and cheeks.

Skin paleness is welcomed as well as its natural tints. Let it be smooth and clear so that the makeup could astonish with fashionable looks.

Contrary to the previous Spring-Summer 2009 season, it is supposed to be rarely shining.

Your blush should either match your eyes or lips. But in any case the cheeks should be emphasized.

Rolling-in-purple-glimmer Eyes

There will be two extremes for the eyes: smoky-smoky and almost naked ones. Bright colors fit paleness.

The emphasis lay more on the eye shadowing then on long eyelashes.

Rosy Cheeks

Autumn – Winter 2009/2010 makeup trends for cheeks vary from pink, pink-blue to natural-tan hues.

Thick black and brown eyebrows are a makeup trend for A/W 2009-2010. They brightly contour the eye shadow.

Some designers present almost colorless skin-tinted eyebrows.

Innocent Lips

Tenderness and innocence of lip color palettes range from slightly pink, violet, fuchsia to extremely pale, almost skin-fitting-hue.

Steer clear of lip glosses. Your lips should be decorated with matte lipstick. This will allow laying more stress on the eyes.

Take into consideration the fact that the world famous brands are involved into the Twilight saga makeup, bloody lipsticks creation.

Fall-Winter 2009/2010-makeup vogue mixes up colorless eyes and the bright lips’ glam eyes and pale lips supplemented with cheeks and eyebrows hues. It’s high time we tested it and took the one matching exactly your type.
